🚑 EMS Week Remembrance Day 🚑
🖤 In Memory of John “Frog” Ainsworth 🖤
We remember John “Frog” Ainsworth, lifetime member of the Quinton Volunteer Ambulance Squad, who passed away on May 21, 2022 after 15 years of service.
Frog had a true heart for service. He was always willing to respond to a call, no matter the time of day—often being there when others could not, even in the middle of the night. He gave countless hours to helping others and made a lasting impact on the lives he touched.
Born November 5, 1968, in Galveston, Texas, Frog faced serious health challenges early in life, including Hodgkin’s disease as a child. After years of treatment at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, he went into remission at age 15. That experience shaped his strength, resilience, and compassion for others.
After moving to New Jersey, he worked in multiple industries over the years and spent his free time coaching youth sports, bowling with family, enjoying NASCAR, and helping anyone who needed it. He was also known for his creativity, craftsmanship, and willingness to lend a hand in any situation.
Frog served the Quinton Volunteer Ambulance Squad for the past 15 years, holding positions including engineer, lieutenant, and transport officer. He also served with multiple surrounding agencies and roles within the New Jersey State First Aid Council.
One of his proudest accomplishments as an EMT was helping deliver three babies during his years of service.
Above all, Frog will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his community as a volunteer EMT. His impact will not be forgotten.

Tonight, in recognition of EMS Week, we are proud to highlight a few of our dedicated members shown in the photo. These volunteers give their time to train, prepare, and respond whenever our community needs help. From emergency calls to community events, they represent the commitment and teamwork that keep Quinton EMS strong.

We are grateful for their service, dedication, and the time they give to help others in their greatest moments of need. Thank you for supporting your local EMS providers and for being part of a community that stands behind its volunteers.

👦👧 Junior Cadet Spotlight – Children’s Day!
Today we recognize the younger members of our community who show an interest in EMS services.
Meet Mikey, one of our Junior Cadets. While in training, Mikey has learned CPR, emergency scene safety, and how to work as part of a team.
He joined to help his community and make a difference in people's lives. He also wanted to start young so he could gain experience, learn new skills under the guidance of EMTs, and become better over time. He takes pride in being able to help people during emergencies and looks forward to growing in the field.

🌷🚑 EMS Week – Spring Safety Tips
Spring is here, and with warmer weather comes new safety risks! EMS volunteers see more injuries from slips, falls, lawn equipment accidents, and outdoor sports, and traveling this time of year.

✅ Spring Safety Tips:
• Keep walkways clear and dry to help prevent slips and falls
• Wear protective gear when using lawn mowers or power tools
• Stay hydrated and take breaks during yard work or outdoor activities
• Always supervise children playing near roads, swimming pools, or lakes
• Bicycle safety: ride in safe areas away from traffic and always wear a properly fitted helmet
• Buckle up every trip—seat belts save lives
• Never drive impaired or overly fatigued
• Keep an emergency kit in your vehicle (first aid kit, water, flashlight, charger)
• Monitor pollen levels on high-risk days for those with allergies
• If you have severe allergies, make sure your epinephrine auto-injector (EpiPen) is up to date and accessible
