The 2026 NHC hurricane season forecast is out. NHC: 'Remember, even if the Atlantic hurricane season ends up being below to near normal, it only takes one storm in your community to make it a bad hurricane season for you. Prepare this year like you would any other!'

They are forecasting a below normal hurricane season:

8-14 Named Storms
3-6 Hurricanes
1-3 Major hurricanes

Hurricane season begins June 1, now is the time to prepare.
Basic Disaster Supplies Kit 🌀
✅ Water: Store at least one gallon per person, per day, for a minimum of three days - for both drinking and sanitation.

We are entering a warmer and wetter pattern. Heat Indices (feels-like temperatures) will be in the upper 90s to 100°🌡️. Rain chances⛈️ also increase heading into the holiday weekend.
