Quitman High School celebrated Panther Powerlifting Individual Event State Champions before Thursday night’s home football game! Our 3A State Champion Powerlifters were recognized on the field and presented with their State Championship Individual Event rings in honor of their outstanding accomplishments! 💙💛

🏆 Kay’Ley Moody — Girls 114 lb. Weight Class State Champion
🏆 G’Kayla Coleman — Girls Super Heavyweight State Champion
🏆 Khyren Altman — Boys 165 lb. Weight Class State Champion — State-record 560 lb. squat!
🏆 Michah Moffett — Boys 181 lb. Weight Class State Champion
🏆 Ke’Zyhlon Causey — Boys 275 lb. Weight Class State Champion
🏆 Kedarrien Houston — Boys 308 lb. Weight Class State Champion — State-record 705 lb. squat!

What an incredible accomplishment for these Panther athletes! Congratulations to our 3A State Champions on earning those rings and representing Quitman High School at the highest level! 💪🏆

⚽ Calling All Future Lady Panthers! Do you love soccer and want a chance to join the Lady Panther Soccer Team? Here’s your opportunity! Makeup Girls Soccer Tryouts will be held Monday, September 14, 2026, from 5:00–6:00 p.m. at Quitman High School.

Tryouts are open to:
⚽ 7th–8th grade girls at QJH
⚽ 9th–12th grade girls at QHS who missed the August tryouts

📍 Meet in Room 1 at QHS
📋 You must have a current physical to try out.

Quitman Upper Elementary is partnering for success! Parents, students, and staff came together at QUE last week for an evening of information, connections, and learning. Families had the opportunity to learn more about the new attendance policy, PTO, ParentSquare, and the 3rd Grade State Assessment.

QUE principals, counselors, teachers, and staff answered questions, shared information, and connected with families. Thanks to everyone who came out to support their child and QUE!
