The countdown to FBLA Nationals is on! 🎉✈️

Five outstanding QHS FBLA students are gearing up to represent Quitman on the national stage at the FBLA National Leadership Conference in San Antonio, Texas, June 29–July 2!

Earning a spot at Nationals is no small feat. These students first competed and advanced at both the district and state levels, proving they are among the best of the best. For months, FBLA Sponsor Tammy Alford and her students have spent countless hours after school preparing for this incredible opportunity. Mrs. Alford has been an FBLA advisor at QHS for 19 years, and her students have advanced to Nationals 17 out of those 19 years. Mrs. Alford develops the skills, work ethic, and competitive spirit in her FBLA students!

Congratulations to Talecia McCarty, Madison Price, Miley Shaw, TaMarious Chapman, and Elijah Jacob as they get ready to compete against top students from across the nation! Let's go Panthers! 🐾💙💛

Parents, you can register your child online through July 17 by following the instructions on the graphic, or register in person at your child’s school through July 17.

📚Two Ed Prep students are headed to Nationals! 🎉

Malorie Hagwood and Madison Price will compete at the Educators Rising National Conference in Portland, Oregon, June 20–23! Both students are enrolled in the Ed Prep program at the Career Center, and they earned a spot on the national stage by placing among the top competitors at the State Educators Rising Conference earlier this year with Sponsor Mrs. Chrissy Kelly.

Congratulations to Malorie and Madison for their hard work and dedication. Best of luck to both students and Mrs. Kelly as they represent Quitman at Nationals! 🍎✈️📚

Sgt. Tribble and four QHS JROTC cadets, Jacob Gentry, Malia Blunt, Destiny Floyd, and Walker Harris, represented Quitman High School with pride at the Camp Shelby Junior Cadet Leadership Challenge (JCLC). Great job!

📣 QHS Cheer is setting the stage for an amazing year! 💙💛🐾

The QHS Cheerleaders spent the weekend at cheer camp at USM and came home with some impressive awards for their hard work and dedication. The team earned 1st Place in Camp Routine, 2nd Place in Gameday, and received the Mascot Helper Award.

Congratulations to Dr. Dace! At the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Trustees Annual Conference, held June 1–3, 2026, trustees from all 15 Mississippi community colleges were honored for their years of dedicated service. Dr. Minnie Dace was recognized for five years of service on the Jones College Board of Trustees. Thank you, Dr. Dace, for your continued leadership and commitment to students and education across our state!

Practice Location: Quitman Upper Gym - if there are any changes in dates/times/locations athletes will be notified ahead of time.

REMINDER: ALL ATHLETES must be registered for school BEFORE participating in any summer practices or activities.

Get that taken care of ASAP!!!

•In-person registration starts May 27-July 17
•Offices will be open from 8:00AM-3:30PM
