🍩 BREAKING NEWS: Atticus has officially been identified as the hole reason National Donut Day exists. 🍩🐾

After a thorough investigation, Atticus determined that the best way to celebrate National Donut Day was to become the donut. We can’t argue with the results.

When he’s not modeling oversized pastries, Atticus is hard at work bringing comfort, support, and smiles to people throughout Racine County. Today, however, he’s focused on the important task of making sure no donut goes unappreciated.

For five amazing years, Atticus has been doing more than just stealing hearts — he’s been making a difference throughout Racine County every single day. 💙 From bringing comfort during difficult moments to spreading smiles wherever he goes, Atticus reminds us all how powerful a wagging tail and gentle soul can be.

Whether he’s helping someone through a tough day, brightening a room with that famous smile, or proudly representing the incredible work facility dogs do in our community, Atticus does it all with love, patience, and plenty of charm. 🦴🐶

Today we celebrate not only his birthday, but the comfort, support, and happiness he gives to so many people. Here’s to extra treats, belly rubs, squeaky toys, and all the birthday love a very good boy deserves! 🎂🥳

🇺🇸 As Memorial Day weekend begins, we take time to reflect on the true meaning of this holiday.

Memorial Day is dedicated to honoring the brave men and women of our Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness secured the freedoms we enjoy today.

This weekend, may we remember those who never came home, honor their service, and keep their memory alive through our gratitude and remembrance.

🐰🐾 The Tale of Atticus… the Hop-poster Bunny 🐶

It started with a simple idea…
Atticus put on a pair of bunny ears and thought, “I’ve got this. How hard can it be to be the Easter Bunny?” 😏

He practiced his best “hop”… (looked a lot like zoomies 🐕💨)
Worked on delivering eggs… (may have tried to taste-test a few 🍬👀)
And perfected his “bunny stare”… (10/10 good boy energy)

For a moment there, he really believed he had what it takes…
Atticus: 1️⃣
Easter Bunny: 🤷‍♂️

But then… the real Easter Bunny showed up. 🐰✨

And just like that—
Atticus realized… maybe he’s not the Easter Bunny…
…but he is the best backup bunny in the business. 🐾💙

From impersonating the role to meeting the legend himself, Atticus had a full day of hopping into the Easter spirit 🐣

Proof that sometimes you don’t have to be the bunny…
you just have to believe in it (and maybe chase it a little 😉).

🐾 Dispatch just got a whole lot cuter…

We made a stop at the Racine County Communications Center today, where the real behind-the-scenes heroes keep everything running 24/7. This good boy was on site boosting morale, supervising operations, and making sure he collected his fair share of treats.

Dispatchers are the calm in the chaos—the first voice you hear and the ones who help keep everyone safe. Today, they had a little extra four-legged support. 💙

⚠️Racine County Buildings Closed Monday, March 16

Due to a Blizzard Warning issued by the National Weather Service, all Racine County buildings will be closed to the public and non-essential staff.

The storm is expected to bring freezing rain transitioning to heavy snow, wind gusts up to 45 mph, and blizzard conditions with visibility below ¼ mile, making travel extremely dangerous.

Essential county services, including public safety operations, will continue as scheduled. We extend our sincere thanks to all essential employees who will continue serving our community during these severe weather conditions.

For everyone else, please avoid travel if possible.
