Love and charity mission is a 57 year-old 501(c)(3) nonprofit, continuing the legacy of our late founder Louise Hunter through food, assistance, community outreach, and acts of compassion.

❤️ YESTERDAY WAS ANOTHER DAY OF LOVE IN ACTION! ❤️

Yesterday, Love & Charity Mission went out into the community and gave out bread and donuts to people who needed them. 🍞🍩❤️

This may seem like something small to some, but to someone who is hungry or struggling, a simple act of kindness can mean so much.

Love & Charity Mission was founded by my grandmother in 1969, with a heart to help the hungry, the homeless, and those in need. She passed that baton to me, and I’m doing everything I can to carry her legacy forward and take this mission to the next level.

But I want to be honest with you…

I CANNOT DO THIS ALONE.

I want to continue taking food, resources, giveaways, and hope into our communities. I want to grow this mission from where we are today into something that can reach communities nationwide and eventually around the world. 🌎

But it takes people who believe in the mission.

💙 TODAY’S LOVE & CHARITY CHALLENGE 💙

Today, I challenge YOU to do something kind for someone in need.

It doesn’t have to be something big.

Pay for someone’s groceries. 🛒
Put some gas in someone’s tank. ⛽
Buy a homeless person a sandwich. 🥪
Give someone a meal. 🍽️
Help a single parent. ❤️
Or simply take a moment to encourage someone who may be struggling.

But here’s the challenge:

DO IT WITHOUT EXPECTING RECOGNITION.
DO IT WITHOUT NEEDING TO BE SEEN.
DO IT SIMPLY BECAUSE SOMEONE NEEDS HELP.

You never know what someone is going through, and sometimes a small act of kindness can change someone’s entire day—or even their life.

A LEGACY OF LOVE — REST IN PEACE, BISHOP LAWRENCE KIRBY 🕊️❤️

Today, our hearts are heavy as we mourn the passing of
Bishop Lawrence Kirby,
one of the original board members of Love and Charity Mission when this ministry first began in 1969.

Bishop Kirby was not just a board member—he was part of the foundation of this organization. He played a significant role in helping Love and Charity Mission become a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, helping establish the foundation that has allowed this legacy of service to continue for generations.

Today, we may have tears in our eyes, but our hearts are also filled with gratitude. 🙏🏽

Bishop Kirby, you helped many people throughout your life. You gave, you served, you encouraged, and you helped lay the groundwork for a mission whose purpose has always been helping somebody.

As Love and Charity Mission 2.0 continues the legacy that was started so many years ago, we will never forget the people who helped build the foundation—including you.

Your work mattered. Your service mattered. Your life mattered. And your legacy will live on.

Rest well, Bishop Lawrence Kirby. You have fought a good fight, you have finished your course, and now it is time to take your rest.

🚗🍞 Bread Pickup Day! 🍞🚗

I’m on my way to pick up another load of bread to help families in our community.

Life is full of seasons. You can be on top today and struggling tomorrow, but no situation lasts forever. Too many people consider giving up or ending their life over a temporary problem, but your story isn’t over yet. The pain you’re feeling today does not define your future.

Every challenge has the potential to make you stronger. If you give up, you lose the opportunity to see what tomorrow could bring. Sometimes we have to stop and ask ourselves, “What decisions brought me here, and what could I have done differently?” Other times, we’re simply facing circumstances beyond our control—or even the consequences of how we’ve lived and treated others.

That’s why it’s so important to treat people with kindness and respect, no matter where you are in life. If you’re struggling, treat people right. If you’re successful, treat people right. If you’re wealthy, treat people right. Tomorrow isn’t promised, and life can change in an instant.

None of us gets to choose every card we’re dealt, but we do get to choose how we play our hand. Keep fighting. Keep believing. Keep moving forward. Your current situation is only a chapter—not the end of your story.

There are days when you feel like quitting.

Days when the doors don’t open.
Days when the money isn’t there.
Days when it seems like nobody sees the vision.

But those are the moments that define you.

Don’t give up because progress is often happening beneath the surface before anyone else can see it. Every setback is preparing you for a stronger comeback. Every delay is building your character. Every challenge is teaching you something you’ll need for your next season.

Keep showing up.
Keep believing.
Keep working.
Keep praying.
Keep serving.

The breakthrough you’re waiting for may be one more step beyond the place where you feel like giving up.

It’s been a little while since our last post, but the mission has never stopped.

At Love & Charity Mission 2.0, we’re continuing a legacy that began in 1969 through our founder, Louise Hunter—a legacy built on compassion, service, and the belief that everyone deserves hope.

As CEO & Director, I’m committed to carrying that vision forward by serving our community with love, dignity, and purpose. We believe in feeding not only the body, but also encouraging the mind and restoring the soul.

❤️ Fourth of July Community Blessing Recap 🇺🇸

What an incredible Fourth of July!

Love & Charity Mission 2.0 had the privilege of distributing fresh bakery bread, hamburger buns, hot dog buns, sweets, and other bakery items to families throughout our community. Thanks to everyone’s support, we were able to help countless individuals and families enjoy the holiday with a little less worry and a lot more hope.

Seeing the smiles, hearing the heartfelt “thank yous,” and knowing that families had food on their tables reminded us exactly why this mission exists.

This is more than giving away bread—it’s about sharing love, restoring hope, and letting people know they are not forgotten.

To everyone who donated, shared our posts, prayed for us, or encouraged us along the way—thank you. You helped make this outreach a tremendous success.

As we continue building Love & Charity Mission 2.0, this is just the beginning. Together, we will continue fighting hunger, serving our neighbors, and carrying on the legacy founded by Louise Hunter in 1969.

❤️ WE’RE HITTING THE STREETS TODAY! ❤️

Today from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM, Love & Charity Mission 2.0 will be driving through the community passing out FREE fresh bakery bread, hot dog buns, hamburger buns, sweets, and other goodies while supplies last.

This is our way of sharing a little love and making sure families have something extra for the holiday weekend.
