Adult Volunteers Needed!!

The Youth Volunteer Corps of Racine County - a program of the Volunteer Center of Racine County - is holding two large youth events, and we need Adult Volunteer Support!

The first event is the "Day in the Trades," which takes place Monday, June 15th. Students will have the opportunity to meet with recruiters from the military and trades, and see what other options are available to them besides college. There will also be some exciting hands on activities for students to try!

YVC's second event is "Rock the Block"(RTB). RTB will take place Monday, June 22nd - Thursday, June 25th. This year, RTB will focus on the clean up and landscaping of 22 properties and the neighborhood surrounding the Mead Street COP House.

Adult Volunteers will receive a free t-shirt, and lunch for volunteering.

Rock the Block is back!!!

Youth Volunteers, join us and our partners Racine Police Department, the Mead Street COP House, Salmon Unlimited, Salmon-a-Rama, Educators Credit Union, and Community State Bank as we LEAD a neighborhood wide effort to landscape and clean up 20+ properties, streets, and alleys in the neighborhood surrounding the Mead Street COP House.

We are looking for organizations/businesses to sponsor lunch for Rock the Block (RTB). Any business that sponsors RTB will have their logo added to all promotional material, and will be tagged in a thank you post on Facebook.
