NORTH BEACH AND ZOO BEACH: OPEN
Updated Saturday, June 13, 9:35 a.m.

Beach Status
Both beaches have reopened. North Beach and Zoo Beach were under a swim advisory this morning following elevated f***l bacteria levels detected by qPCR sampling yesterday. A resample collected Friday afternoon confirmed water quality has returned to within safe swimming standards at both beaches. Lifeguard staff report wave and current activity is low.

Beach Conditions

Know Before You Go
Water is cold today and cold water shock is a real risk. Free loaner life jackets at both beaches: just grab one and bring it back when you are done. No paperwork, no deposit.
UV index is Very High: apply sunscreen before heading out, seek shade at midday, and reapply after swimming.
Lifeguards on duty at both beaches 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.: swim in the lifeguarded area.
