Seneca Area Fire Protection District The Seneca Area Fire Protection District was formed in October 1989. It is a tax based, fully volunteer agency that covers 93 square miles in SW Missouri.

Seneca District receives a ton of messages to our page regarding the City of Seneca. While we work closely with the City in many aspects, we are two different entities. City serves Seneca within the city limits. Seneca District serves the 90+ miles surrounding the city. Seneca Area Fire Protection District has two stations, Station 1 located in Racine at the intersection of K and 86. Our Station 2 is located just south of the intersection of Quince and Y hwy on Y hwy. Hopefully this clears up some of the confusion when trying to make contact with either department. We are all volunteers and neither department has a manned station 24 hours so please be patient with us in regards of answering messages. If it's an emergency please dial 9-1-1.

9:55am MDOT is currently working on the bridge at the low water RR bridge. CC is still CLOSED

7:15am barricades are still up at the low water. Hopefully this morning MDOT will open it up.
