Today marks Spring 2026 Commencement 🎓

We are immensely proud of all of our graduates and everything you’ve accomplished to get to this moment!

While you may not always see us, our team in the Emergency Operations Center, made up of university departments, state police, and security partners, is working behind the scenes to help ensure today runs safely and smoothly. It truly takes a full community to make a day like this possible and keep everyone on campus .

To our graduates, we’re sad to see you go, but you will always be a part of the Radford University family. We cannot wait to see the incredible things you accomplish next. Your hard work has paid off, now it’s time to celebrate it.

As we get ready to celebrate our graduates, the safety of all attendees remains our top priority. All graduates, guests, staff, faculty, and event personnel will be required to go through security screenings upon entry at both ceremonies.

Today, Officer Easter and Officer O’Brien came to the rescue of a tiny kitten found hiding under one of our patrol cars 🐾🚔

Moments like this are just one small part of what it means to serve, being there for the community in all ways, even the unexpected ones.

This little guy is now safe, and the best part… he’s already found his forever home. Officer Easter will be adopting him, but we still need the perfect name!

Radford University Police Department Earns National Accreditation from CALEA

This weekend in Jacksonville, Florida, the Radford University Police Department received its initial national accreditation award from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA), which is recognized as the gold standard in public safety professionalism.

This achievement reflects the dedication of every member of our department to the highest standards of accountability, transparency, and service.

Officer Easter had a fantastic time representing the Radford University Police Department at this year’s Truck or Treat event! 👮‍♂️🍬

Events like this help strengthen our bond with the community and give families the chance to meet our officers in a fun and welcoming environment. We appreciate everyone who stopped by to say hello, grab some candy, and learn more about campus and community safety!
