Our deepest thoughts and prayers are with the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office and the families of the officers involved in the tragic shooting that took place last night.

We are heartbroken to learn that one deputy lost their life in the line of duty, while another was injured and is expected to recover. We ask that you join us in praying for both officers’ families, the members of the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, and the entire community affected by this devastating event.

The law enforcement family stands together during times like these, and we mourn alongside all those impacted by this tragedy.

National Police Week 2026, taking place May 11–16, is a time to remember and pay tribute to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

Established in 1962 by President Kennedy, National Police Week reminds us of the courage, dedication, and selflessness of those who serve in law enforcement. Every day, officers put themselves in harm’s way so that our communities can be safe.

This week, we respect the commitment, honor the service, and remember the sacrifice of law enforcement officers who dedicate their lives to protecting our communities. Thank you for your courage, integrity, and unwavering service—today and always.
