Radford Community Garden A place to meet your neighbors, get your hands dirty, and grow some real food. http://radfordcommunitygarden.blogspot.com The Radford Community Garden is a part of the City of Radford that allows its citizens to rent a space for the summer to garden.

We are currently located on Pulaski Street; Last left turn before you get to the Dedmon Center, stay left, ride that till you get to the gravel road, drive towards the river and we are on the right. We have a beautiful, fenced in spot of land that has a water spigot and full sun. Registration usually opens in March (an official date will be announced) and to register you will need to go to the Cit

The Radford Community Garden will take applications starting March 15, 2021 for the 2021 growing season. Sign up is available in the Radford Administration Building , 10 Robertson Street. Previous gardeners have priority for a plot. Plots are $20 for a 20 x20 foot plot and $10 for a 10 x 20 plot.

Sign up for the Radford Community Garden will be open March 11-15, 2019. Sign up will be in the Radford City Administration Building. Prior gardeners will have priority and others will be taken in the order they apply. There are 42 plots available this year.

As of April 6, 2018 there are 5 vacant plots. If any current gardeners would like an additional plot, please sign up at the City Administration Building. The garden will be tilled and staked out for identification the next 10 days weather permitting.

Applications for plots in the Community Garden will be accepted in the City Managers office starting Monday March 13, 2017. Those gardeners who had a plot last year will have priority for the same plot again this year. There are 30 20' x 20' plots and 10 10' x 20' plots in the garden.

Thanks to gardeners Bill Webb, Vince Hazleton, and Lynn Burris, we have mowed all the weeds, left over vegetables, etc. in preparation for winter plowing. A few of the plots had vegetables continuing to grow and we left them for the gardeners to clean up later. All plots must be cleaned by October 15.

All the garden plots have been filled again this year. There are 30 20 x 20 foot and 10 10 x 20 foot plots this year. Plot assignments will be sent out soon and the garden will be tilled and plots staked in early April as weather permits.
