Good evening from the Chief! Tomorrow, Increased fire danger Thursday across central North Carolina, gusty southwest winds and extremely dry fuels
will lead to an increased fire danger Thursday. Hot and humid conditions are expected on Thursday. Temperatures around 100 degrees with heat indexes reaching 102 to 108 degrees. Be safe and check on your loved ones!

Good evening North Raeford,
Effective 0800, 3 May (tomorrow morning) the NC burn ban will be lifted for Hoke County. During the ban, we received only 2 calls in our area for burning. Great Job!!! Please continue to be safe, and if you burn, monitor your fire.

Good evening. In addition to the state Burn Ban, we are now in a County Burn Ban. This means zero burning outdoors unless it's a grill. If grilling please practice safe methods, 10' away from structures and have a means of extinguishing close by. Be safe Everyone!!
