Raeford, NC - The Hoke County Sheriffโs Office announces on October 8, 2026, the Narcotics/Vice Suppression Unit (NVSU) obtained and served a served a narcotics related search warrant in the 400 block of Brewer Drive Red Springs, NC (Hoke County).
The search warrant was obtained after an investigation of illegal substances being sold by Camron Lee Jones. During the investigation, Mr. Jonesโ girlfriend, Destiny Telisha Brooks, became a person on interest for the investigation.
A secondary suspect involved with the possible sell/delivery of controlled substances was identified as Justin Samuel Lowery (brother of Ms. Brooks). Mr. Lowery was incarcerated during part of the investigation but had been released and placed on active Probation by the time the search warrant was served.
The search warrant was served without incident. Ms. Brooks, her three children, Mr. Lowery, and two additional subjects were located on the property. Mr. Jones was not present.
A search of the residence and the property around it resulted in suspected Fentanyl, ma*****na, two ri**es, scales, baggies, and several additional items of drug paraphernalia being located. A portion of the suspected Fentanyl located was premeasured for sell/delivery and consisted of approximately 5 dosage units. The remainder of the suspected Fentanyl was still being kept was still compressed into one piece and weighed approximately 2 grams. Ms. Brooks and Mr. Lowery were placed under arrest and transported to the Hoke County Detention Center.
Based on the investigation, Detectives knew Ms. Brooks was pregnant. While speaking with her, Ms. Brooks stated she was 38 weeks pregnant but still actively smoking Ma*****na.
Based on this information and the conditions of the home Hoke County Department of Social Services (DSS) was contacted and came to evaluate the home. After their evaluation, DSS decided the juveniles would be removed from the home, placed with a family member for the night, and additional accommodations would be made for them the next day.

Ms. Brooks and Mr. Lowery were taken before the Magistrate for a first appearance court date and bond. Ms. Brooks received a $50,000 unsecured bond. Mr. Lowery received a $25,000 secured bond and Probation/Parole was notified of his new charges.
The NVSU also obtained arrest warrants for Camron Lee Jones. Mr. Jones is currently considered a fugitive from justice. Mr. Jones has outstanding arrest warrants for the following charges:
โข Possession with the Intent to Sell/Deliver a Schedule I-Controlled Substance
โข Possession with the Intent to Sell/Deliver a Schedule VI-Controlled Substance
โข Maintaining a Dwelling/Place for the Manufacture/Sell/Deliver/Use of a Controlled Substance
โข Felony Child Abuse
โข Misdemeanor Child Abuse (three counts)
โข Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (two counts)

The Hoke County Sheriffโs Office announces, on October 12, 2026, Deputies responded to the 400 block of Brewer Drive after anonymous call(s) were made to 911 in which callers reported Camron Lee Jones had been seen returning to his home.
Deputies located Mr. Jones at his residence, placed him under arrest, and transported Mr. Jones to the Hoke County Detention Center. Mr. Jones was served with the outstanding arrest warrants obtained by the Narcotics/Vice Suppression Unit following a narcotics related search warrant operation on October 8, 2026.
Mr. Jones was charged with the following offenses:
โข Possession with the Intent to Sell/Deliver a Schedule I-Controlled Substance
โข Possession with the Intent to Sell/Deliver a Schedule VI-Controlled Substance
โข Maintaining a Dwelling/Place for the Manufacture/Sell/Deliver/Use of a Controlled Substance
โข Felony Child Abuse
โข Misdemeanor Child Abuse (three counts)
โข Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (two counts)
Mr. Camron Lee Jones was then taken before the Magistrate where he received a first appearance court date and was given a $100,000.00 secured bond. The case is still under active investigation.
