Just an update regarding the time capsule opening from the other evening: all of the items recovered from the capsule were actively in service and in use when they were originally placed inside.
Thank you to everyone who attended and supported our Centennial celebration. This milestone would not have been possible without the dedication and commitment of the many individuals who have served this department throughout the years.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all past and present members whose hard work, sacrifice, and unwavering support have allowed this department to thrive and flourish for the past 100 years. As we honor our history, we also look toward the future with the goal of ensuring this department continues to serve our community for generations to come.
Here’s to preserving our legacy and building a future that will stand the test of time.

Behind the scenes, he is the steady hand and driving force that helps keep everything moving forward even after 48 years of service .He never seeks recognition or praise, his unwavering dedication, commitment, and leadership have had a tremendous impactβ€”not only on this department, but also on the people within it and the community he faithfully serves.
So much is accomplished because of his guidance, support, and willingness to always put others first. Your years of devotion have not gone unnoticed, and we are all better because of the example you set each day.
Thank you for your continued support, your leadership, and your countless contributions over the years. We are grateful for everything you do and look forward to many more years of working alongside you.
Happy Birthday, Deputy Chief/Fire Marshal Terry Tapp! Wishing you a day filled with appreciation, happiness, and all the blessings you so richly deserve.

Tomorrow night we open the time capsule we buried 25 years ago which by the way seems like yesterday. It will be interesting to see what is in there. Gear, apparatus and training has changed in all these years. Thanks to all the volunteers that have made the Raeford Fire Department what it is today. Volunteers serving since 1926 and yes we celebrate 100 years this year. Again thanks to all before me, the ones that serve now and all that will come after.
