Today, the Rahway Fire Department had a very special visitor. Jayson was visiting with his family from out of town and stopped by for a tour. Jayson LOVES everything fire department related. Jayson made sure to look at every single vehicle we have while pointing, smiling & clapping at each one. He had a BLAST!! Thanks for visiting Jayson!! 🔥 🚒

This past weekend several members participated in the Central Jersey Fire Conference. This unique training opportunity featured lectures by some of the most respected experts in the industry, and hands on seminars on topics like Man vs Machine emergencies, thermal imaging and fire dynamics.

On June 5th, members from the RPD/RFD participated in a run from the Linden border to the Woodbridge border down St. George’s Ave. to show support for the NJ Law Enforcement Torch Run. This run is throughout the state and finishes at TCNJ where the NJ Special Olympics are held this weekend.

The Rahway Fire Department is saddened to learn of the passing of Firefighter Robert Kilduff of the Boston Fire Department. Our deepest condolences to his family and the members of the Boston Fire Department.

Last week members from the Rahway Fire Department and other towns within the Union County Foam Task Force participated in a training exercise to test new environmentally friendly formulations of firefighting foam at the Middlesex County Fire Academy. Foam is used on fires where the application of water may cause additional damage such as chemical fires, and fires involving some metals that are water reactive. 🔥 👩🏻‍🚒
