Due to the weather and as a safety precaution, tonight’s performances featuring DJ Drewski and All-4-One will take place INSIDE UCPAC at 1601 Irving Street.

🚪 Doors open at 5:00 PM
🎧 DJ Drewski – 6:00 PM
🎤 All-4-One – 8:15 PM

Rahway residents will be prioritized for entry and must show ID. Admission is first come, first served and space is limited.

🚫 NO BAGS ALLOWED
🚫 NO RE-ENTRY

The Union Street Resource Center, in partnership with First Presbyterian Church Rahway, will host a Community Food Distribution on Saturday, September 26, from 10 AM–12 PM at 1731 Church Street.

Food will be available to those in need on a first come, first served basis while supplies last. Please enter on Church Street.

⚠️ BEWARE OF BRUSHING SCAMS 📦

The Rahway Police Department encourages everyone to use caution when receiving unexpected packages. “Brushing scams” involve packages you did not order and may include QR codes asking you to scan to return the package or identify the sender.

Do not scan QR codes included with unexpected packages. They may lead to fraudulent websites designed to steal personal or financial information.

If you receive a package you didn’t order, review your accounts for suspicious activity, update potentially compromised passwords, and report suspected fraud to the Federal Trade Commission at ReportFraud.ftc.gov.

Join Mayor Raymond A. Giacobbe, the Rahway City Council, and the Rahway Health Department for Rahway’s first Walk to Remember, Walk to Prevent on Saturday, September 26, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Train Station Plaza.

This meaningful community event is an opportunity to honor loved ones, support survivors, raise awareness for su***de prevention and mental health, and remind one another that no one has to face life’s challenges alone. Community resources will also be available throughout the event.

Participants are encouraged to bring a photo of a loved one to display in remembrance.

Rahway is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month! 🎉🌺

Mayor Raymond A. Giacobbe and the Rahway City Council proudly invite the community to come together in celebration of the rich cultures, traditions, stories, music, and flavors of our Hispanic community.

Throughout Hispanic Heritage Month, we’ll honor the generations who have helped shape Rahway while celebrating the vibrant heritage that continues to enrich our city today.

The celebration will also include the unveiling and ribbon cutting of a new mosaic artwork by Ana Gonzalez of Artesana Pottery at Arts District Park, creating a lasting tribute to culture, creativity, and community.

Due to incoming severe weather, potential heavy rainfall, and flash flooding risks, Mayor Raymond A. Giacobbe, the Rahway City Council, and the Union County Performing Arts Center (UCPAC) regret to announce the postponement of tonight’s DJ Drewski Birthday Block Party performance. While tonight’s show was highly anticipated, our top priority is public safety. Postponing this event ensures emergency personnel and city resources remain fully available where needed most.

Although our rain policy typically moves outdoor Mayor’s Concert Series events into UCPAC’s Main Stage, the anticipated turnout for tonight’s free show significantly exceeds the theater’s maximum seating capacity. To ensure safety and avoid turning community members away at the door, the decision was made to postpone the concert rather than operate at a restricted indoor capacity.

We look forward to celebrating DJ Drewski’s birthday belatedly very soon! The rescheduled date will be announced in the coming days.

With flash flooding and heavy rain forecasted throughout the area, residents are strongly urged to exercise caution and stay safe indoors this evening.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as we prioritize the safety and security of our residents, visitors, artists, and staff.

Today, Mayor Raymond A. Giacobbe and the Rahway City Council proudly recognize Never Give Up Day and encourage everyone to celebrate the power of perseverance, resilience, and hope.

To mark the occasion, the City has issued an official proclamation recognizing August 18 as Never Give Up Day and invites residents to participate in the Walk of Perseverance.

🚶 Take a walk in your neighborhood or a local park.
💙 Reflect on a challenge you’ve overcome or a goal you’re pursuing.
📸 Share your walk or story and tag for a chance to be featured!
