Today from 10am to 12pm...or all food bags are distributed.

Thank you Rotary Club of Yelm for serving the families of Rainier.

SUMMER FOOD PROGRAM
Tuesday August 25 is our next distribution day. We will be at our 4 spots at 10am. We will be there until Noon, unless we run out early. Bring your kids to get their bags.
We will be at the following locations:

• Nisqually Pines Office
• Rainier - near the school old admin office
• Clearwood at the front gate near the office
• Yelm City Park - corner of Mosman & 1st

Just a reminder that this program is here to support children under 18 who receive free or reduced-price meals during the school year, helping make sure they have access to food throughout the summer. 1 bag per child. Please bring your children to pick up their bags. 💛

The Rotary Club of Yelm will be at the Rainier School District Office this morning from 10am to 12pm (or until all bags are distributed).

🍔🎉 Join Us for the Welcome Back Open House & Community BBQ! 🎉🍔

Rainier School District families, students, and staff—let’s kick off the new school year together! Join us for an evening of connection, food, and fun before the first day of school.

📅 Event Schedule:
• 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM: Open House at all schools (Explore classrooms & meet teachers!)
• 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM: Free Community BBQ & Picnic at the Football Field 🌭 (School buildings closed during picnic time)
• 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM: Open House resumes at all schools

📢 Community Resource Share

The Washington State DSHS Mobile Office will be nearby in Yelm this Wednesday, July 29, from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at the Yelm Safeway (1109 East Yelm Ave).

Staff will be on-site to assist community members with:
• Food, cash, and medical assistance applications
• EBT card replacements or requests
• Case updates, renewals, or dropping off paperwork

Congratulations Jeremiah! 🧡🖤

Jeremiah Nubbe, a Rainier High School graduate and current University of Virginia thrower, was named the 2026 ACC Outdoor Track and Field Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

Nubbe won the ACC outdoor title in the men's hammer throw this season and placed fourth at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
