I believed Brittany Richards, the candidate that I have been supporting, could win this race on her own merit. I believe she still can. It is unfortunate that some people assumed my “silence” was not active support. However, I have been talking to friends, knocking doors, and posting on my personal social media for months, and I held a meet and greet last week for her. If I had known that the lack of endorsement would have been used as a way to unfairly criticize Brittany, I would have likely made that endorsement months ago. I support Brittany Richards, and I encourage you to also. If you live in District A, I ask you to cast your vote for Brittany on Election Day.

When someone shows you who you are- believe them. Think Marjorie Eastman actually cares about lowering taxes? Think again. Can’t afford your home? She thinks you should sell it to someone who can. She does not care about displacing Cary residents.

Local Cary residents have reported receiving these in the mail. Marjorie Eastman attempts to impersonate the Town of Cary government in order to campaign. This attempt at deception speaks volumes about her and her ability to be on Council.

What’s interesting is that Marjorie K. Eastman has never voted in a municipal election, according to public records. Which means she has never actually voted for the seat she’s running for. Why NOW would you want to run for a position you’ve never given any attention to before….

You are the company you keep, and it looks like Jennifer Robinson, who is running for reelection in Cary District A and Renee Miller who is running for District C, have been busy cozying up to MAGA supporter Marjorie Eastman. They are also canvassing together and doing other joint events….

Marjorie Eastman (who is running for Cary Council At-Large after a failed Senate run in 2022) has been busy deleting videos off of her YouTube to try and distance herself from her MAGA viewpoints. Dont’t worry- we’ll link the originals from Spectrum News and the Carolina Journal. If you know anything about us it’s that we ALWAYS fact check and share primary sources. No unvetted sources here- ever.

Who is the GOP candidate running for Cary’s Town Council At-Large seat? Marjorie Eastman. Just another MAGA candidate. And her campaign manager? The same one Michele Morrow had.

Eyes on the state legislature today

Since Democrats broke Republicans’ supermajority in the NC House, veto overrides are no longer a sure thing, but some of the bills Gov. Josh Stein nixed got bipartisan support. So strap in, it could be a busy day.

Back in April, the Trump administration cancelled billions of dollars in FEMA "Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities" (BRIC) grants dedicated to upgrading and hardening local infrastructure to deal with natural disasters. Over 70 such projects all over North Carolina, totaling over $200 million, were eliminated with no notice.

All funding for FEMA's BRIC grants came from the Biden-Harris administration's bipartisan infrastructure law, and had been previously approved by FEMA.

Now, post-Tropical Storm Chantal, many small towns' infrastructure has been badly damaged to destroyed, and local leaders are scrambling to figure out how to pay for repairs.
