The Library of NC Accessible Books & Libraries Services (ABLS) and the North Carolina Museum of Art (NCMA) hosted an Art Show and Reception on June 16th featuring artwork created by print‑disabled artists. More than 30 participants attended to share their remarkable creations, making the event truly inspiring.
The showcased artworks were created using an adapted version of one of NCMA’s To Go Art Kits, redesigned by ABLS and NCMA to be more accessible for individuals with various print disabilities. These pieces will be on display in the NCMA East Building throughout the summer.
A big thank-you to Courtney Klemens (Manager of Family Programs, NCMA), Tawanda Walters (Patron Support Assistant, ABLS), Joshua Berkov (Assistant Director, ABLS), and all the participants who helped bring this event to life!
