✨ Client Story: Cherese✨
Cherese came to the Women's Center after losing her job and housing, finding herself new to Raleigh with no support system. Since coming to the Women's Center, she has connected with resources, built stability, and grown confident enough to guide other women through our doors. She doesn't focus on how hard things were, but instead on how far she's come.
She says, "You take the time to do it, to take the step - and they really do help you. Be it clothes, food, shelter, resources, or phones. Just come here."
We thank her for sharing her story 💜

This school year Shritha has been a Teen Leadership Board Member and a Development intern through Youth Ambassadors of Service. Shritha says volunteering has strengthened her skills and encouraged her to connect with others. She says, "Through this experience, I have gained confidence and met many amazing people. Some of my core memories are decorating the Center for Christmas, volunteering at Galentine's Day, and eating ice cream during our last teen board meeting. I have loved volunteering at WCWC, and I am incredibly grateful for everyone who has encouraged and supported my growth!"
If you or someone you know is interested in joining our Teen Board, the application is on our website at: https://buff.ly/oUT53do
Or, if you have questions about joining, RSVP for our Q&A session this Sunday at 3:00 pm here: https://buff.ly/8AMnDRv

🍽️ Meal Request 🍽️
Since taking on the Drop-in Overnight Shelter for Wake County, our need for guest meals has increased significantly. We now see up to 110 people every day. Our goal is to serve a hot meal every night, so that folks don't go to sleep hungry.
Can you help? See opportunities and sign up on our volunteer platform, https://buff.ly/U615Xob

Now that we've moved our Donation Center to the new Day Shelter location at 3211 Bramer Dr, we need help sorting all the wonderful donations we receive. We're looking for volunteers that could make an ongoing commitment to at least one day a week for either a morning or afternoon shift.

✨ Client Story: Brianna✨
Brianna came to the Women’s Center after a tough divorce. Since coming to the center, Brianna shared that she has become more confident and supported through access to resources and community. She doesn't like to dwell on her challenging experiences, but rather, possibilities for the future.
Brianna says, "It was just a very stressful time in my life until I got to know the Women's Center is here for us. I've been going through ups and downs, but I got a job interview tomorrow. That is pretty good, you know? It nourishes you back to your self-respect and your well-being."
We thank Brianna for sharing her story 💜
