What a difference a few months can make. As we look back on our Heritage Park Celebration from February 2026, we're reminded of the incredible momentum that began that day. Community leaders, partners, and residents came together to mark the beginning of a transformative investment in affordable housing; and most recently, we're proud to share that the project has reached another major milestone with the completion of demolition activities.

RHA CEO Ashley Lommers-Johnson; Marchell Adams-David, City of Raleigh - Government Manager; Mayor Janet Cowell, City of Raleigh; Don Mial, Chair, Wake County Government Board of Commissioners; and Morgan Mansa, Director of Housing Affordability & Community Revitalization, Wake County.

This project is made possible through the collaboration of outstanding partners, including Brinshore Development, LLC, Raleigh Raised Development, Moseley, Torti Gallas + Partners, Kimley-Horn, BLWall Consulting, the City of Raleigh - Government, and Wake County Government.

As we move into this next phase, we also recognize the rich history of the Fourth Ward community. This redevelopment means so much to so many, including honoring the neighborhood's legacy while creating new opportunities for current and future residents. We remain committed to ensuring that the stories, relationships, and history that shaped Fourth Ward continue to be an important part of this new chapter.
