North Chatham Elementary School Garden update:

Next steps (now is a bad time to plant; however, it is a wonderful time to plan and do the prep work)
1. remove plastic from sites
2. take soil samples for testing (I have the boxes and if we do this soon, it is free)
3. attack the w**d population a time or two (I can get this done)

Can anyone take on the plastic? School is out for the summer, so a volunteer can do it pretty much any day or time. The two beds are approximately 25 ft by 18 ft, so 900 square feet total. Plastic should be removed from property, but the dump is not far from the school.

Volunteers please?! Feel free to spread the request! :-)

We are gearing up for a local schoolyard habitat! Please let us know if you are interested in helping out. We need volunteers to help introduce the project to the kids, plan the garden, plant, maintain, etc. If you enjoy gardening, we have a great opportunity in northern Chatham County!
