Every face of North Carolina has a story, and each one is part of our state’s journey to the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

One way we share the diverse histories of North Carolina is through our children’s books, each of which highlight a local North Carolina narrative. Beautifully illustrated and created by North Carolina Historical Publications these books make history accessible for young readers.
