🚨 The Waverly F. Akins Wake County Office Building (including the Wake County Public Libraries Express Library Fayetteville Street), Wake County Courthouse and Wake County Justice Center closed at 1 p.m. today, May 22, for both employees and the public in response to the shooting near the Wake County Courthouse this morning.

Please avoid the area around these buildings for the remainder of the day.

Leesville Community Library is closing at 7 p.m. today, Monday, May 18th, due to HVAC issues! We hope to reopen tomorrow at our regular time. Wake County Government
