NCCE Clothing Drive is a Success!

The NCCE Workforce Development group held a clothing drive at our Yonkers Road office during the month of November, and it was a tremendous success—helping thousands of people across North Carolina.
Mr. Kerwin Pittman, Founder and Executive Director of Recidivism Reduction Educational Program Services, Inc. (RREPS), was pleased to receive the donations in person!
We will be hosting additional clothing drives in the future and look forward to helping even more individuals throughout the year. Please keep us in mind when you have new or gently used clothing to donate.

Historic First: NC Justice-Involved Women Earn Braille Transcription Certification Through NCCE

North Carolina Correction Enterprises , recently marked a groundbreaking moment as five justice-involved women became the first in NC’s history to graduate as certified Braille transcribers.

The women completed rigorous training and certification in Braille transcription—an accomplishment that requires dedication, attention to detail, and commitment to learning.

The ability to produce Braille materials opens doors to employment opportunities upon release and empowers participants to contribute to a greater social good by supporting accessibility for the blind and visually impaired.

The graduates were presented their certificates by NCDAC Secretary Leslie Cooley Dismukes and NCCE Chief Executive Officer John Coleman.
