Wake Young Women’s Leadership Academy is proud to celebrate Shakirat on her selection as a 2026–2027 WCPSS Arts Ambassador!

Chosen from a highly competitive pool of more than 150 applicants across Wake County, Shakirat was recognized for her leadership, service, advocacy, and commitment to the arts. As an Arts Ambassador, she will serve as a representative for both WYWLA and the broader WCPSS arts community, helping to promote the importance of creativity, artistic expression, and student voice throughout the district.

We are incredibly proud of Shakirat for this outstanding achievement and look forward to seeing the positive impact she will make as she shares her talents, passion, and leadership with others. Congratulations, Shakirat, we know you will represent WYWLA with excellence and pride!
