North Carolina Reading Service

North Carolina Reading Service NCRS is a 24/7 reading service for people who are blind or print impaired. To apply for a special receiver call the NCRS office (919) 832-5138.

NCRS loans out specially tuned SCA receivers, free of charge to those living in the broadcast area. Additionally, the NCRS signal is broadcast:

On Spectrum Communications in Raleigh on community access channel 22. NCRS is currently on the in-house cable systems at The Forest At Duke, Woodland Terrace Senior Living, Abbotswood at Stonehenge Senior Living Center and Springmoor Life Care Retirement

You can also listen to the North Carolina Reading Service via our website and any Alexa enabled device. Simply say; "Alexa, tune in the NC Reading Service." One final way to enjoy NCRS is through the Tune-In Radio App available for both Apple and Android phones. Install the free app, search for North Carolina Reading Service and tap "play".
