Dear Youth Thrive Network and Partners:
COVID-19 has presented significant challenges over the last 14 months. Challenges to individuals, organizations, and communities. We have all had to re-imagine ways of doing things, both personally and professionally, and Youth Thrive was not immune to those challenges. Youth Thrive has determined the need to revisit its operational model and will not be operating in the current structure as it is today. Youth Thrive still seeks to be a convener of collective impact for youth in Wake County but it will look different moving forward.
As of June 15th, Youth Thrive will no longer have staff support. We hope you will continue to partner with Youth Thrive as we move forward and envision the next steps as an organization. All of the toolkits, campaigns, and resources will still be accessible for you to use on our website, and the Action Teams will continue to meet, in large part due to our tremendous partners. You’re welcome to contact the Youth Thrive email with any questions you may have: [email protected], but please understand if you don’t receive an immediate response. Also, please note that our social media accounts and website will remain live, but will not be updated with new content after June 15th.
As a community collective for the past 10 years, we have so much to be proud of. This collective has served over 150,000 youth, and we have partnered with over 100 organizations. We have offered over 100 trainings that led to over 2,000 individuals being trained on positive youth development, social-emotional learning, racial equity, and many other topics that impact youth well-being. We have created multiple resource guides from the Wake County Youth Well-Being Profile to a Middle School College Visit Guide to a Su***de Prevention Campaign and more. We have accomplished a lot together, and together we will continue to work towards the goal that all young people in Wake County become thriving adults.
We’d like to thank all of our funders, especially the John Rex Endowment, Wake County Government, and the United Way of the Greater Triangle, and the many partners who have supported Youth Thrive throughout our ten years. Without them, and you all, our many accomplishments would not have been possible. Thank you for the last 10 years.
We all succeed when youth succeed,
Youth Thrive
