Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Trooper Perry who was killed in the line of duty this morning.

A North Carolina state trooper was killed Sunday in a crash on the Durham Freeway near the Swift Avenue exit.

This is a common excuse when a prosecutor is not committed to keeping their citizens safe. This is because they are lazy, incompetent or committed to an agenda that is not focused on protecting victims. Sometimes this is a combination of all of the above.
Wake County will have a new DA. We are beginning screening candidates for Wake County District Attorney. We are hoping our next DA will be committed to public safety and victim rights.

Durham County District Attorney Satana Deberry is defending her office’s decision to reduce felony charges against Ryan Camacho to a misdemeanor in 2025, arguing that the available evidence did not support a more severe conviction.

City Council today unanimously approved City Manager Marchell Adams-David’s $1.78B Fiscal Year 2026 Budget. The approved budget includes no property tax increase. RPPA leaders Trevor Hoyle, Sean Henry, Teamster BA Ken Feyen and myself met with City of Raleigh HR representatives to get more information regarding the proposed budget and pay structure. The meeting was positive and we believe this pay structure is taking us in the right direction to make Raleigh Police Department competitive in pay!!
