Today we celebrated the ribbon cutting for the North Carolina Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services Butner Food Distribution Center warehouse expansion in Creedmoor—a project nearly 10 years in the making.

This expansion strengthens the state’s unique food distribution network, supporting North Carolina schools, food banks, and nutrition programs by increasing storage capacity, enhancing cold-chain logistics, and improving the efficiency of getting fresh, locally grown food from North Carolina farms to communities across the state.

We’re honored to have partnered with NCDA&CS, the State Construction Office, The Christman Company, and the entire project team to help bring this important investment to fruition. Congratulations to everyone involved!

We had a special visitor this morning! 🐾

Meet Rimau! At just 2 years old, this handsome German Shepherd quickly took on the role of office ambassador — making the rounds, greeting everyone at the door, and carefully inspecting the perimeter (you know… standard GSD business).

Fun fact: “Rimau” means tiger in Malaysian, a nod to Heather’s husband’s heritage. While he may look tough, Rimau has proven to be nothing but sweet, friendly, and ready for all the office attention.

Big news from CSI Southeast Region Conference 2026 in Miami!

We’re proud to share that Leanne Byrd attended this year’s conference—connecting with peers, earning CEUs, exploring the latest products, and taking in some incredible architecture (including a stop at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science).

Even more exciting—Leanne was voted in as SE Region Director 👏

Ray was on campus today at Heide Trask Senior High School in Rocky Point, NC, representing the Architecture & Construction career cluster at the school’s Career Fair.

It was a great opportunity to connect with students exploring career paths in our industry—especially those ready to jump into the workforce right after high school or gain hands-on experience while still in school.

We’re proud to support Pender County Schools and opportunities like this that help students discover meaningful career paths. 👷‍♂️✨
