Greenville Community Conversations, hosted by the DSDHH Wilson Regional Center

Deaf? Hard of Hearing? DeafBlind? Have communication problems in NC? The Division of Services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DSDHH) wants to learn from you! Come tell Director Tony Davis about your communication barriers. Your stories help make services better in our state. Interpreters, family members and others connected to the community are also welcome to share.
ASL interpreters and CART will be provided. Additional accommodations available when you register.

Registration is required. Requests after Sept. 5 will be accepted based on available space and resources.

⚠️It’s North Carolina Landslide Preparedness Week, and we’re sharing essential safety tips all week long.

🌧️5 inches or more of rain in 24 hours is enough to trigger landslides in the North Carolina mountains.

⛰Landslides can happen suddenly, giving you little time to react. Knowing if your home is in a landslide danger zone before heavy rain hits can save your life.

Thanks to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) that broke down barriers to communication. One was by requiring all states and US territories to provide Telecommunications Relay Services (TRS). TRS has paved the way for video relay services (VRS), commonly used by Deaf, Hard of Hearing and DeafBlind users today and other access to digital communications such as captioning, automated speech recognition and many more! Please join us in celebration of communication access for all!
