Opening Ceremonies are underway for the Special Olympics NC Summer Games! A great weekend in store for athletes, their families, volunteers and spectators. With nearly 1,700 athletes competing in eight sports, supported by more than 1,000 volunteers, this summer will be the best games yet!

The NC ABLE Program is governed by the NC ABLE Program Board of Trustees and is composed of six members, including State Treasurer Brad Briner.

Sharing the NC Financial Literacy Council's contest!

North Carolina students are invited to showcase their creativity and financial smarts in the statewide “Budgeting in 2026: Plan, Save, Thrive!” contest.

Open to grades K–12 across all public, private, charter, and home schools, this competition encourages students to explore what budgeting means today through essays, visual art, videos, posters, or creative writing.

Submissions are due by May 1, 2026—don’t miss this chance to inspire the future of financial literacy!
