The Rally is a Traditional and Custom show open to vehicles 1980 and older, being held in the Glenwood South entertainment area, between Hillsborough and Peace Streets. This free event to spectators is Saturday May 3,2014 from 11:00AM until 5:00PM. Bring the whole family down for a fun filled day of nostalgic vehicles and crazy customs! 9:00 AM - Vehicle Registration begins at 9:00AM. Pre-registered vehicles enter Glenwood Ave. from Johnson St. via Boylan. Vehicles wishing to register the morning of the show enter from Johnson St. Registration ends at 11:00AM.
11:00AM - Car Show opens to the public.
9th Annual Local Color Plein Air paint out. Local artist will be in the area painting local landscapes, and in particular, many of the displayed vehicles. Any owner wishing to have their vehicle painted can commission a artist to do a painting of their vehicle. Many of the completed paintings will be on display at the Local Color Gallery. 1:00PM - Lucky B's presents The Cary White Trash Rhythm and Blues Band. Hear your favorite classics performed by this superb outfit playing from 1pm to 4 pm outside of Lucky B's at the corner of Tucker and Glenwood. This is a free concert.
4:00PM - Award Presentation will occur at approximately 4:00PM at 401 Glenwood Ave (the corner of North and Glenwood).
5:00PM - Car Show ends. Once the show ends, vehicles wishing to remain in the area must park their vehicles in actual parking spots in compliance with the law. Local area businesses will remain open, so please feel free to remain in the area and enjoy the rest of the evening.
6:30PM - Street Closure ends and the street reopens to thru traffic. All vehicles must be in proper parking spots and all vendors must be packed up and off the
street. Registration
Pre-registration is recommended to secure a parking spot,
although if spots are available there will be additional registration available the morning of the show. Entry fee is $15.00 for pre-registration or $20.00 for the morning of the show registration. To obtain a application visit our website and download a form and mail it in. Registration begins at 9:00AM, with the show opening to the public at 11:00AM, the show ends at 5:00PM. For vehicles wanting to be parked together during the show, please arrive together as this will be the easiest way to ensure this request can be accommodated. Vendors
Vendor applications are available for merchandise related to
this event only! If it's got something to do with cars and or motorcycles it will be welcomed, NO FOOD VENDORS The area has enough restaurants that this event is solely supporting. Hotels
