As we get closer to the start of the semester, have you ever wondered what the Dean of the Graduate school does during the summer? Join David as he interviews Dean Peter Harries of the NC State Graduate School.

Most people know him mainly for his role as the Dean but he is also a professor in Marine, Earth, and Atmospheric Sciences and a passionate chef cooking a wide array of dishes in his free time. 🍽️📚

As a professor, his research is focused in paleontology, specifically looking at how organisms rebounded from the so-called mass extinction and how the biota functions differently within greenhouse and icehouse climates. 🔬

As a chef, Dean Harries listed out his top 5 meals to cook. It ranges from cooking the best Moo Shu Pork to a simple steak with a chimichurri sauce and a good salad to go with that. 👨🏻‍🍳
