Its been a busy week at WECHS!

Yesterday started with our seniors and super seniors at our annual Graduate Breakfast on North Campus, and ended with celebrating our rising sophomores and juniors on the PHS campus.

It’s been a wonderful time recognizing a year of hard work, reflecting on highlights from the school year, signing yearbooks, and celebrating the colleges our students will be attending this fall. We are so proud of all they have accomplished and excited for what’s ahead!

At our Graduate Awards Ceremony, we celebrated the incredible accomplishments of our students! 🎓✨
Several students earned full-ride scholarships to Columbia University, North Carolina A&T State University, and North Carolina Central University, along with major awards from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, North Carolina State University, and others, just to name a few.
They were also recognized as QuestBridge, Cheatham-White, Centennial, and Goodnight Scholars.
Together, the Class of 2026 has earned over $2.5 million in scholarships!

It was a busy day for WECHS yesterday! 🎓 Several of our Early College students proudly participated in the Wake Tech Associate Degree Commencement Ceremony, and we couldn’t be more proud of the Class of 2026 for their hard work and dedication.

Congratulations to all who participated in the ceremony AND to those who completed their program! 🌟👏

What an incredible evening celebrating 20 years of WECHS! 🎉

A heartfelt thank you to our alumni, former staff, current students, families, and community partners for coming together to honor this special milestone. Your support, dedication, and shared commitment have helped shape WECHS into the exceptional school and community it is today.

As the first early college in Wake County, WECHS has spent the past 20 years opening doors, inspiring students, and building a legacy of excellence. Tonight was a beautiful reminder that our greatest strength has always been the people who make up the WECHS family.

We’re also proud that our Career Development Coordinator, Mrs. Hill, had the privilege of serving as a guest speaker for this special occasion. 🌟

Reminder: We’re excited to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Wake Early College of Health & Science this Friday, May 8th, and truly appreciate your support and attendance.

The evening will begin at 5:30 PM with light hors d’oeuvres, networking, and fellowship. Guests can enjoy student displays and learn more about our WECHS H.E.A.L.S. initiatives before the formal program. Alumni will also have the chance to reconnect, network, and celebrate the lasting impact of WECHS.
