Thank you Town of Leland for recognizing the contributions of family caregivers.

More than 2.2 million North Carolinians serve as family caregivers, representing approximately 27% of the state's adult population.

Most are caring for an older adult, often a parent, while balancing jobs, children, and other responsibilities. In fact, nearly six in ten caregivers are employed, and more than a quarter are providing 40 or more hours of care each week.
