To our Ramer and McNairy County family:

When the tones drop, Firefighter and Paramedic Ryan Vaughn is always one of the first to answer the call. For years, he has stood on the front lines, saving lives and protecting our community. Now, it’s our turn to answer the call for him.

Ryan and his wife, Taylor, are expecting their second child, baby Maven, any day now. Maven has been diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). Upon birth at Vanderbilt Hospital, this brave little fighter will immediately face the first of three open-heart surgeries required before the age of three, alongside an extended NICU stay.

Ryan is doing everything a devoted father and husband can do—traveling back and forth from Nashville to Ramer to care for Taylor, baby Maven, and their one-year-old daughter at home. But the physical, emotional, and financial toll of this journey is immense.

That’s why our department is stepping up, and we need your help.

Join us on Saturday, June 20th, from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Ramer Civic Center for a Benefit Breakfast to support the Vaughn family.

The Details:
When: Saturday, June 20, 2026 | 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM
Where: Ramer Civic Center
Cost: $10 per plate (Children 5 & under eat FREE!)

The Menu: Eggs, pancakes, sausage, bacon, ham, sausage gravy, biscuits, toast, and home fries.

100% of ALL money collected will go directly to Ryan and Taylor. We are not taking out a single cent for expenses. Every dollar you give will directly help ease the burden of travel, medical costs, and time away from work so Ryan can focus on what matters most: his family.

For more information, or to make a private donation, please contact Chief Erich Buehring at 731-361-9549.

Let's pack the Civic Center, open our hearts, and show the Vaughns that in McNairy County, no one fights alone.

Please SHARE this post, tag your friends, mark your calendars, and bring your appetite! 🚒❤️
