SAVE THE DATE: JULY 11, 2026 at 1:00 PM - Desert Crossing returns with their audio/visual presentation “US History Through Folk and Rock Music: Songs of Protest 1935–1975" at the Ramona Community Library (1275 Main St.)

Enjoy live performances by Michael J. Dwyer & Rose Darrough, reliving protest songs from Woody Guthrie, Billie Holiday, Pete Seeger, Merle Travis, John Prine, David Crosby & Graham Nash, and more. This concert is free and as Desert Crossing is very popular, be sure to arrive early to get a seat!

Most of the library's Saturday concerts start later but note the earlier time, 1:00 PM, for this one.

To celebrate Juneteenth + Independence Day, California State Parks is offering a downloadable special edition Historian Passport (free!) from June 15–July 6, 2026. Use it starting June 19 and it stays valid through Dec 31, 2026.

Enjoy admission for up to 4 people at 30+ participating state parks and museums, so more families and communities can connect with the places that tell California’s story.

Want to donate gently used or new books, CDs, DVDs, or puzzles? Our bookstore, The Open Book, would love to have them to sell to help raise funds for programs and resources at the Ramona Library.

We're located inside the library at 1275 Main St. in downtown Ramona and we are open Mon, Wed–Sat 10:30 AM–3:30 PM; Tue 12:00–5:00 PM. The Friends of the Ramona Library is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit orginization.

p.s. You can borrow a cart to move items from your car!
