Structure Fire

At 19:28 this evening, your Ramsey VFD was dispatched to a commercial structure fire with visible flames showing inside the building on Gun Club Rd in Harrison County. Fire personnel arrived on the scene within 7 minutes from the time of dispatch and quickly brought the fire under control. No injuries were reported and damage to the structure was kept to a minimum. Mutual aid departments included Lanesville VFD, Floyd County Fire Territory and Harrison County Hospital EMS. Thank you to everyone involved.

Yesterday April 22, 2026 Ramsey Fire Department was paged to a woods fire including Crandall. Brush 74 arrived on scene and confirmed a small working woods fire. The fire was quickly brought under control and a controlled burn was extinguished. Lanesville Fire Department and Harrison County Hospital EMS also responded and assisted with extinguishing efforts.

Yesterday April 22, 2026 Ramsey Fire Department was requested as mutual aid to Harrison Township Fire Department for tankers and man power on a working fire including multiple structures and the surrounding brush. Tanker 64 and Brush 74 assisted. Great teamwork by all involved!

On Sunday April 12th Ramsey Fire Department members went to the Jacob McClanahan training tower to get some forcible entry and search and rescue training evolutions in for our monthly training! We were joined by Harrison Township Fire Dept B crew. Training was led by Captain Metz, Firefighter Cooper and Captain Kurz of HTFD.
