🚧 TRAFFIC ADVISORY – Temporary Road Closure on SR-46 🚧

The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) has announced a temporary road closure on SR-46 in Ranburne beginning Monday, June 29, 2026, weather permitting.

πŸ—“ Closure Begins: Monday, June 29 at 6:00 AM

The closure is necessary to replace a storm drain located just west of TreeBrand, Inc. Local traffic will still be able to travel to this point, but through traffic will need to use the posted detour.

➑️ Eastbound Traffic: Detour via CR-49 (Frank Ledbetter Drive) to State Line Road, then back to SR-46.

⬅️ Westbound Traffic: Follow the same detour in reverse.

The detour is expected to remain in place for one day. If weather or other unforeseen issues arise, the work will be completed on Tuesday, June 30.

This work is part of ALDOT's project to widen two turn lanes and resurface SR-46 from Mile Post 10.3 to Mile Post 21.0. Additional paving work is planned around the July 4th holiday, with efforts being made to minimize impacts on school traffic.

⚠️ Please plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use caution in the work zone. We appreciate your patience as these improvements are made to our community's roadway.
