For years, Sergio faced relentless health struggles that felt insurmountable. From chronic discomfort to multiple hospital visits, his journey was anything but easy.

In 2023, after joining IEHP, hope began to shine through the darkness. But in June of that same year, life threw him a curveball—his mother passed away, and amidst the grief, his health hit rock bottom. A rare bacterial infection threatened his very life.

After two and a half months of battling in the hospital, a new care team at Loma Linda University Medical Center finally turned the tide. With the right treatment, Sergio regained his strength and spirit.

Today, he’s not just walking...he’s singing! 🎤✨

He inspires seniors in his community and passionately advocates for preventive care, especially for men over 40. “Don’t let embarrassment hold you back. Your health is worth it!” he says.

As we observe Men's Health Month, Sergio’s journey serves as a powerful reminder that with the right support, we can rise above anything. ✨🫶
