Water will most likely be cut off on Spencer Street from Hinshaw to Hillcrest. More details will be available tomorrow morning.

NWS Raleigh Winter Storm Update for Central NC - 9 AM - Thursday, January 27, 2022

As of 11:30 a.m. this morning the National Weather Service in Raleigh released the following briefing for the winter storm approaching our area.
- Rain will mix with and change to snow late Friday evening and continue until early Saturday morning
- We are looking at between .5”- 2” of snow accumulation
- Wind gusts of up to 30mph are expected, elevating the risk of power outages
- This is likely to be a short event (6-10 Hours) with little serious hazards. The biggest threat will be road conditions as temperatures will not reach above freezing Saturday

As of 11:30 a.m. this morning the National Weather Service in Raleigh released the following briefing for the winter storm approaching our area.
- Accumulating snow is likely early Sunday morning with multiple types of wintry precipitation continuing throughout the day Sunday into Sunday Evening.
- We are looking at between 1”- 3” of snow accumulation in the morning and up to 0.5” of sleet or freezing rain later in the day a .25' increase from previous models. (This will make road conditions tricky and elevate the risk of road hazards through early Monday)
- Wind gusts of up to 30mph are expected. (Winds combined with potential ice accumulation elevates the risk of power outages)
- This is likely to be a short event (10-12 Hours) with little serious hazards. The biggest threat will be road conditions as temperatures will not reach above freezing until 10:00 a.m. Monday morning.

Widespread rain will be underway across central NC overnight. Rain will be heavy at times with isolated thunderstorms possible which may result in flash flooding in some areas. Cold air will pour into the area changing the rain to snow by daybreak. The City of Randleman is expected to see between .3" and 1" of snow by 12:00 p.m. tomorrow Monday January 3rd. Currently there are available appointments to the Randleman ABC Board and the Piedmont Triad Regional Water Authority that need to be filled by the Board of Alderman. The Board has begun accepting applications for these board appointments. Applications can be turned into the City Clerks office located at City Hall, 204 S. Main St. Randleman or emailed to [email protected] Applications can be found at the link below or by calling City Hall at 336-495-7500. Any Citizen of the City of Randleman is eligible to apply.

- The ABC Board meets on the first Tuesday of every month at 8:30 a.m.
- The PTRWA Board meets the second Tuesday of every month at 12:00 p.m.

Due to the holiday week, Leaves and Brush will be picked up on Monday and Tuesday this week. Bulk trash pick-ups will take place on Wednesday. All residential and business route schedule remain the same.

For the week of the 12/27, Residential trash for Monday will be picked up on Wednesday. All other services will operate on normal schedule.

The City of Randleman is working with the Piedmont Triad Regional Council (PTRC) and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) to update its Land Development Plan (LDP). An updated Plan will guide the town’s long-term land use growth and development for the next 10-20 years. It is anticipated that the update will be completed in Spring 2022. Please answer the following questions to help us in the formation of the new Land Development Plan. If you prefer not to answer a question, please leave it blank.
