Today, we recognize and honor the dedicated men and women of the Randleman Police Department during Peace Officers Memorial observances. We remember the brave officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty and thank all law enforcement officers who continue to serve and protect our community each day with courage, integrity, and compassion.

Please join us in keeping the families of our fallen officers, as well as those currently serving, in your thoughts and prayers. Your commitment and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

⚠️ Dangerous Heat Alert: Never Leave Children or Pets in Vehicles! ⚠️

As temperatures rise this season, we want to remind everyone of the serious risks of leaving children and pets unattended in vehicles. Heatstroke can occur quickly and can be fatal — even on a mild day.

🌡️ Did You Know?

In just 10 minutes, the temperature inside a vehicle can rise by 20°F.

On a 70°F day, the inside of a car can reach over 100°F in minutes.

Children and pets are especially vulnerable to heat-related illnesses.

NEVER leave a child or pet unattended in a vehicle, even if the windows are cracked or you’ll only be gone “for a minute.” It only takes a moment for a life-threatening situation to develop.

If You See a Child or Pet Alone in a Car:

Call 911 immediately. Time is critical.

Do not wait for the owner to return — the heat inside a car can be deadly in just a few minutes.

We urge everyone to make safety a priority this summer. Don’t leave your loved ones in a car — their lives depend on it.
