โš ๏ธ Dangerous Heat Alert: Never Leave Children or Pets in Vehicles! โš ๏ธ

As temperatures rise this season, we want to remind everyone of the serious risks of leaving children and pets unattended in vehicles. Heatstroke can occur quickly and can be fatal โ€” even on a mild day.

๐ŸŒก๏ธ Did You Know?

In just 10 minutes, the temperature inside a vehicle can rise by 20ยฐF.

On a 70ยฐF day, the inside of a car can reach over 100ยฐF in minutes.

Children and pets are especially vulnerable to heat-related illnesses.

NEVER leave a child or pet unattended in a vehicle, even if the windows are cracked or youโ€™ll only be gone โ€œfor a minute.โ€ It only takes a moment for a life-threatening situation to develop.

If You See a Child or Pet Alone in a Car:

Call 911 immediately. Time is critical.

Do not wait for the owner to return โ€” the heat inside a car can be deadly in just a few minutes.

We urge everyone to make safety a priority this summer. Donโ€™t leave your loved ones in a car โ€” their lives depend on it.

Thank you for helping us keep our community safe!
