Last week we were honored to welcome police officials from Mexico for a day of collaboration, learning and information sharing.

Visitors received an overview of the MPTC's mission and comprehensive training programs, including recruit, veteran and specialized training, as well as discussion on training techniques, laws, and best practices. The group also toured our brand new state of the art Marlborough Police Academy, including our indoor fi****ms range, explored a SWAT vehicle display, experienced our MILO interactive scenario training system and engaged in valuable questions and discussion throughout the day.

Thank you to the onsite interpreters whose support was invaluable to facilitating a meaningful communication throughout the visit. We were honored to share ideas, training practices and our collective commitment to public safety and professional development.

Local police departments, there's still time to receive reimbursement funds through the FY26 Bulletproof Vest Program!
This program allows municipal police departments that have received funding through the federal Bulletproof Vest Partnership Program to receive matching funds through the Massachusetts Bulletproof Vest Program. Combined, the two programs can cover the full cost of this lifesaving gear.

On Peace Officers Memorial Day, we honor the brave souls who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Let us remember Trooper Kevin Trainor of the Massachusetts State Police State Police, who selflessly gave his life protecting others just last week, Uxbridge Police Department Officer Stephen LaPorta, who selflessly protected his community and lost his life earlier this year, and the thousands of officers who have given their lives in the service of others.

Today, we stand together in remembrance and solidarity with families, loved ones, and fellow officers. Your sacrifice will never be forgotten!
