On Friday evening at about 9:00 pm the Randolph Police Department was made aware of an alleged assault of a juvenile outside of the school sports complex during a football game. The juvenile was transported by the Randolph Rescue Squad for further evaluation. The incident is not considered to be a school matter at this time and remains under investigation by the Randolph Police Department. Please remember that the school is NOT responsible for any activities or children that are outside of the sports complex while students are acting, attending, or associated as spectators, or not directly involved in the current school activity.

Please stay out of the Logan Creek flood control way! With the Randolph area receiving over 5 inches of rain within the last week the creek has been fluctuating drastically over the last 48 hours. Water depths are deeper then they appear.

RPD is ever so thankful to say two dogs and two cats that were removed earlier this month in response to a animal neglect investigation have found thier forever homes! Thank you to all who helped and the staff of the Laurel Vet Clinic for nursing them back to health!

When the fire siren sounds, its not an invitation to the pack the streets to see where the trucks are going. It blows for 3 minutes, with the iconic high-low wail, as a courtesy to advise the public that volunteers are trying to make their way through town to the station. So please, when you hear the siren, clear the streets, wait in your parking stall for a few minutes until the siren stops. And give them room to work. Following a fire truck closer the 500ft is unlawful according to Nebraska Statute 60-6,183 and may result in fine. Interfering with a fireman or emergency medical personnel may result in arrest pursuant to NRS 28-908.

Today's not about hot dogs, camping, and cold beverages. Memorial Day is for remembering those service members who gave the ultimate sacrifice so we can enjoy the freedoms our country's founders intended. So grill out, camp, and swim! But remember who let you have those opportunities!
