Services Week

Volunteers continue to decline and staffing can be a struggle at times. The future may look more like a paid staff position; however, this comes at an increased cost. The podcast reflects issues many rural departments are having across the State of WI.

Today is the day!

The Silver Creek Fire Department’s 66th Annual Chicken Barbecue is today, Sunday, May 3, 2026.

Drive-through is open from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Silver Creek Fire Hall on Hwy 144, west of Hwy 57.

Dinner includes 1/2 chicken, a complete dinner, and dessert. Tickets are $16 in advance or $18 at the door, while they last.

This is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year, and every meal sold helps support the fire department, our equipment, training, and the service we provide to the community.

No cooking, no dishes, and lunch is handled. Just drive through, pick up a great chicken dinner, and help support your local firefighters.

Thank you for always showing up for us. We hope to see you today!
