This week, we say “see you later” to two of our own.

Officer Anchando and Motor Officer Evensen are deploying with the United States Army National Guard and are expected to be gone for about a year.

We're proud of their commitment to service both here at home and beyond.

During the recent windstorm we all experienced, this poor pup got spooked and bolted from his yard.

In the middle of the night, Officer Yunger spotted him wandering and quickly made a new friend. The second the back door of the patrol vehicle opened, the pup hopped in like he had been riding shotgun his whole life.

After a little late-night detective work, Officer Yunger tracked down the owners and made a happy reunion happen before sunrise.

It's like "Coffee with a Cop" only at night and with booze!

We're trying something a little different. We heard you when you said our coffee events are inconvenient because you're at work and can't attend. So we've decided to host a meet and greet in the evening, and we hope to see you there!

Join us next Wednesday for "Brew with the Blue" at State House! We'll be there from 6 to 8pm so come with your safety questions, concerns, complaints and commendations.

Bring the family, enjoy an appetizer on us, and if you're so inclined-- an adult beverage too. We won't be indulging but as long as you're responsible about it (i.e. you aren't driving), who are we to judge?

Get to know us in a neutral environment where we can have a casual conversation. Looking forward to it, Commerce City!
