If you post information related to a crime on this page, you may be placing yourself in the position of becoming a witness to a crime and subject yourself to a subpoena. “friending” between the Rangely Police Department and a user does not indicate endorsement of that person’s actions or comments. The Rangely Police Department encourages the use of Facebook for comments to discuss posted topics. Comments reflect the views of the author and do not necessarily reflect the official views of the Rangely Police Department or employees. The Rangely Police Department expects that comments will generally be courteous and relevant to posted topics. The Rangely Police Department reserves the right to delete any comment at its discretion, and will delete all comments that:
• Contain obscene, indecent or profane content
• Contain threats or defamatory statements
• Contain information that could compromise the privacy of current or former Rangely Police Department clients or their family members, and/or the confidentiality of an active or closed case.
• Contain hate speech directed at race, color, s*x, s*xual orientation, national origin, ethnicity, age, religion or disability.
• Promote or endorse services or products. (Non-commercial links that are relevant to the topic or another comment are acceptable.)
• Promote or endorse ballot issues, candidates for public office or other campaign-related material, or non-county related events program.

Users who violate this policy may be banned from future commenting.
