On August 8th, 2026, at 7:33 PM, we were dispatched to Costner School Road to assist the Agricultural Center Fire Department with a commercial business fire. Car 63 arrived at the scene and discovered a barn with heavy fire showing. Tanker 19 arrived shortly thereafter and commenced tanker nursing operations. The crew of Tanker 19 was also assigned to assist in fire suppression efforts. By 8:00 PM, the fire was brought under control. Tanker 19 cleared the scene at 8:46 PM and returned to service.

This evening, we were fortunate to be able to attend the Fire Academy graduation at Gaston College for Firefighter Connor Kish. Connor has worked hard to obtain his firefighter certification classes over the last couple of months. Pictured from left to right is Asst. Chief Bryan Myers, Firefighter Connor Kish, Firefighter Hayden Kish ( Connor’s older brother and long time member of Ranlo Fire), and Firefighter Dereck Stephens. Congratulations Connor! Keep up the good work

On July 18, 2026, at 11:30 a.m., we were dispatched to a brush fire on Sharon Avenue. Engine 19 arrived to find a roughly 100-foot by 100-foot pile of brush actively burning. Engine 19 requested the assistance of tanker 18 for water supply. With the help of a local company that lent their excavator, the fire was extinguished relatively quickly. All units cleared the scene at 1:11 p.m. We would like to express our gratitude to Spencer Mountain Fire Department and Lewis Site Development LLC for their assistance in this incident.
