It’s clear that our Cherokee Nation Administration, Council, and citizens have serious concerns about the construction of hyperscale data centers on our tribal lands, which affect our resources and cultural lifeways. Our primary responsibility is to protect our citizens and tribal communities from these threats, so we will not support any hyperscale data centers on our reservation without proper consultation.

It was an amazing day of history of John Brown along with Cynthia Gayton who acknowledged those like Gwenny Roper, George Rutherford, and Todd Bolton who sparked her further research on American history. The rain came down but individuals still came out to celebrate another opportunity to share the story of those who made the sacrifice. Justice, Equality and Equity are worth the fight and deservant to all mankind. It was a day of rejoicing for sure.

In 1905, nearly 30 lawyers, doctors and local leaders formed an organization that was a monumental progenitor to one of today’s most prominent civil rights organizations to exist. 🏛️

I invite you to join my family and friends from the Jefferson County WV NAACP on this Sunday, August 16th at the Historic Murphy Farm, at 8am to learn about and celebrate with this historic collective in how they transformed the narrative, the ballot and the vote, for the betterment and advancement of ALL peoples. 🗳️
